1941-2019

The family announces with great sorrow his passing at the Timmins and District Hospital on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at the age of 77 years. Loving father of André LeBrun (Judy Jetté), Linda LeBrun (Dan Jetté), Alain LeBrun, Julie LeBrun, Gille LeBrun (Linnea) and his step son Steve Morin (Marlayne). Beloved grandfather of Shelby, Liam, Alexie, Anick, Simon, Kiara, Kyrielle, Mahieu and Arianna. Also left to mourn is his lifelong love and mother of his children Marcelle. Gilbert is survived by his siblings Marcel (Roxanne), Roland, and Suzanne (Darrell), and his brother-in-law Alvin and sisters-in-law Ina and Linda. Predeceased by his parents John and Julienne LeBrun, his brothers Aurel, Patrick, Philippe, Denis, Jean, Paul, Maurice and his sisters Denise, Diane and Ida. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.

The family wishes to sincerely thank Marnie and Liz from Bayshore, the staff at the Walford Retirement Home and the many doctors and nurses who over the years, have all gone above and beyond while caring for Dad. Remembrance donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 21, 2019 from the St-Joseph Church (Father Simon Drapeau officiating). A reception will follow in the church basement hall. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. on Sunday, October 20, 2019 at the
