Geraldine Kenny (Etmanski)
The family announces with great sorrow her passing at the Timmins and District Hospital on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at the age of 77 years. Loving wife of the late René Kenny. Dear mother of Brian Kenny (Lori Graham) of Chaput Hughes and Darlene Kenny of Timmins. Loving grandmother of Jamie and Tanner (Leah) and great grandmother of Rowan, Parker and Lily. Sister-in-law of Yvette Dagenais (late Maurice), Edith Jeromchuk (late Chuck), Diane Fauvelle, Jacques Kenny (Gloria). She will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Bronas and Rose Etmanski and by her brother-in-law Charlie Kenny. Gerry was a proud and devoted employee of CIBC Timmins Branch for over 40 years where she made many precious and lifelong friends. She enjoyed giving her time as a volunteer in the Oncology and Dialysis Departments of the Timmins and District Hospital and also as a pet sitter for her family and friends. We wish to thank Dr. Griffiths, Dr. Rody and the nurses on Medical B and in the Hospice Centre for the care she received. We also would like to acknowledge her many friends, lunch/birthday gang and neighbours especially Rod & Diane, Dennis & Linda, Richard & Moira and Chantal & Marc for their friendship and the help given to Gerry over the years. A scheduled visitation and chapel funeral will be held on Thursday, March 4, 2021. Any person wishing to attend the visitation and/or funeral MUST call the funeral home between Monday, March 1, 2021 and Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at 705-264-4444 between 9am and 4pm to schedule a time. Masks and social distancing measures will be required. In lieu of flowers, remembrance donations to the Timmins & District Humane Society, the Breast Cancer Society of Canada or the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
