Ed had a long career in the logging industry working for Malette Lumber. Retiring in 1995 at the age of 60 to spent his retirement years with family and his wife Jacqueline hosting many family events. Ed and Jackie were members of La Ronde and the founders of Les Amis qui Dansent and enjoyed many years of calling, square dancing and entertaining many groups. With Yvette, he formed “Joyeux Danseurs” (Happy Dancers). The group was together till 2017.

He had a wonderful sense of humor, and his overall kindness will surely be missed. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting the most. He spent his summer months at the camp where he was the happiest. He will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him including his loyal dog, Toby.

Our deepest gratitude to Yvette Dolbec and Vic Vien for making Ed’s last years so enjoyable and memorable. He valued their companionship immensely.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic a celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Remembrance donations to the Timmins & District hospital or the heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
