Obituary for Deborah "Debbie" Demers (St. Denis)

Deborah "Debbie" Demers (St. Denis)
Demers, Deborah “Debbie” (nee St. Denis)
1954-2022
After a long and courageous battle with Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, the family announces with great sorrow her peaceful passing at the Timmins and District Hospital on Monday, December 26, 2022 at the age of 68 years. Beloved wife of 49 years to Jim Demers. Loving mother of Angie Rowe (Bill) and Jimmy Demers (Raina), all of Timmins. Cherished grandmother of Lukas and Ella Demers and Khloe Rowe. Dear sister of late Lee Godin (Rheal), Neil St. Denis (late Elizabeth), Ray St. Denis (Laurie), Linda Koch (Ralph) and sister-in-law to Jerry Demers (Carole). Also left to mourn are her nieces and nephews: Danny, Steven, Michelle, Melissa, Misty, Andrew, Tammy and Jamie. She will also be sadly missed by her auntie Marguerite Milroy, her many cousins and numerous friends, including Rita, Monica, Cindy, Louise, Karen, Joanne and Danielle. She leaves behind her two fur babies Charlie and Moomers. Debbie was predeceased by her parents Marjorie and Lloyd St. Denis and her sister-in-law Marilyn.
Debbie enjoyed the cottage life and having fires with her family. But most of all she loved her husband, her children and her grandchildren, they meant everything to her and she was saddened that she wouldn’t be there to see them grow up. Debbie and her daughter Angie were best friends and inseparable. She was a giving woman and was always ready to help others. At Christmas time she would make baskets for people in need and would bake cheesecake for the homeless shelters. She has touched many people and will always be in our heart. The family would like to thank Dr. Binnie, Jeanette and their team at the Toronto General Hospital for their care and compassion.
Memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, January 7, 2023 from the chapel of Miron-Wilson Funeral Home, followed by celebration of life at the Top Shelf Lounge (184 Second Avenue). Remembrance donations to the South Porcupine Pentecostal Church for Better Tomorrow or to the Timmins and District Humane Society would be greatly appreciated. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturday January 7, 2023 at the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, Cremation and Reception Centre, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins.
