We have such fond memories of times together while we lived in Timmins - the Hallowe'en parties at our house, the multitude of parties at the lake and finally, our Timmins reunion in Bancroft for Jean's special birthday. Condolence: You could say that Dan invented the term “Life of The Party”….it was a role that he played so well even though that was never his goal. Dan just loved people, of all ages, and delighted in being around them. His kindness, boundless energy, zest for life, love for the outdoors, delight in feeding others, his connection to the earth, animals, his family, his friends will never be forgotten by all those that he touched.
I first met Dan and Bev when I was 6 or 7. I am now 51. My life is far richer, bigger and brighter because of them and all that I learned by spending a few weeks in the summers with them. The most important lesson was how to be a true and loyal friend. Maybe they invented that too.
