The family announces with great sorrow her passing at Extendicare Timmins on Monday, February 6, 2023 at the age of 86 years. Predeceased by her husband of 42 years, Ronald Thibault (1999). Loving mother of Lorraine Thibault (late Alain Larivière) of Ste-Madeleine, PQ, Louise Armstrong (Doug) of Timmins, Carole Côté (Paul) of Timmins, Diane Thibault (Serge Michaud) of Orléans, ON, Sylvie Thibault of Maastricht, Netherlands and the late Richard Thibault (Josée) of Orléans, ON. Cherished grandmother of Maryse, Jean-Mathieu, Paul-Antoine and Camille Loranger; Kelly Lamothe and Rachel Armstrong; RoxAnne, Catherine and Robert Côté; Justine Brason, Brigitte and Isabelle Michaud; Chloë and Roman Thibault and Sophie and Mélodie Thibault. Proud great-grandmother to many great-grandchildren. Claudette is also survived by her brother Marcel Turpin (Hélène) and her sister Jean Raymond (Con). Predeceased by her parents, Marie and Jos Bergevin. Also left to mourn are many nieces and nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law as well as her dear friend Alice Loranger. Claudette was a kind and compassionate woman. She loved the Lord, her family, Church and community. This love was her strength as she faced all of life’s challenges with remarkable courage in her unassuming way; and always with a smile. The family would like to thank the staff at Extendicare, Gillies Lake Homestead for the exceptional care Claudette received over the past two years. Know that your kindness was noticed and appreciated. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at 11:00am in the chapel of the Miron-Wilson Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society Timmins/Porcupine District or a charity of your choice. The family will receive family and friends on Saturday, May 6, 2023 from 9:30 to 10:45 am at the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, Cremation and Reception Centre, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins.
