The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Cecile Nakogee can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

The Family of Ms. Cecile Nakogee are saddened to announce her passing at the St Joseph’s Hospital in Sudbury Ontario, on January 29th, 2022 surrounded virtually and spiritually by immediate family and bedside by her sister Mary. Cecile, just 57 years of age, leaves behind her mother Alice Kioke; father Dominic Nakogee; brothers and sisters Ben Nakogee, Maurice Nakogee, Thomas Nakogee, Phillip Nakogee, Roger Nakogee, Chris Nakogee, Madeleine Sutherland, and Mary Nakogee; two sons Joseph and Stewart Hunter; four grandsons Kaden Blueboy, Asiniy Hunter, Jacob and Jack Hunter, and one great grandson Boden Blueboy.

She joins her Lord and Savior as well as those who have gone before her.

A service for Cecile will be held Saturday February 5th, 2022 at Christ the King Cathedral, Moosonee Ontario. Visitation will commence at 11am, Mass at 1:30pm and burial immediately following at Moosonee Cemetery. Return to Christ the King Cathedral basement to join the family in celebrating Cecile’s life.
