Obituary for Carmen Larche (Bernier)

Carmen Larche (Bernier)
It is with great sadness that the family announces her passing at the Timmins and District Hospital after a strong and courageous 6 year battle with cancer on Thursday, April 13, 2023 at the age of 76 years. She leaves behind her life-long partner and husband of 59 years Louis Larche; her daughter Lynn Berthiaume (Marc) of Timmins, Sandra Larche of Ottawa and Jack Larche (Jennifer) of Sudbury. Also left behind are her two nieces who have a very special bond with her; Carole Larche (Trevor Southcott) and their daughter Danielle and Jane Mulcair (Kevin). She will be missed by her grandchildren William Beaugé (Jessica Pichard), Kevin Berthiaume (Julie), Janelle Martin (Jason), Josée Berthiaume (Gilles Dubosq), Nolan Larche, Max Larche and Averly Larche. Her great-grandchildren held a very special place in her heart and always brought her much joy, Klaudia and Kaleb Berthiaume, Koa Beaugé and Nora Martin. Dear sister of Cécile McJanet (George) and Gerald Bernier. Sister-in-law of Gloria Bernier, Vital and Lucie Larche. Carmen was predeceased by her parents Rosaire and Fernande Bernier, her brothers Norman and Denis Bernier and her sister Pierrette Bernier. Carmen was a caring, gentle, kind hearted lady with a zest for life and enjoyed spending time with family, friends and especially with her husband Lou, travelling, fishing and camping. She loved shopping and going out to restaurants with her dear friends. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the dedicated staff at TDH, especially Dr. Judy Gillies, Dr. Samson and Dr. Ali and Dr. Shahara of the Northeast Cancer Centre. As per her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a celebration of her life on Sunday, April 30, 2023 from 2-4pm at the Miron-Wilson Funeral Home Lounge. In lieu of flowers, remembrance donations to the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, Cremation and Reception Centre, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins. To make online donations or condolences, please visit www.mironwilson.com
