Condolences

Condolence From: Barb Poulin
Condolence: My heart goes out to the Spylo family. Bonnie was an icon- a one of a kind. She always had a smile and something kind to say. She actually gave off energy! In the 90’s, Bonnie and I were part of a crafting group. Bonnie taught us all to paint. We made some pretty amazing keepsakes. Often we didn’t “Stitch”.There was Mrs. Harper, Brenda Mair, Val Riley, Mary Miller and Sue Brazeau. Now Bonnie has joined her heavenly circle of friends. I will always treasure my memories of the fun times I shared with these wonderful women.

Condolence: I grew up in Timmons with my cousin Bonnie and her family. Lots of fantastic memories she will be sorely missed. My heart goes out to Gord and Family. Aunt Eva was like my second mother and I spent many amazing days with the family. Bonnie was even my dance partner in high school and I taught her a few good moves.
The world will miss her deeply as will I. heartfelt condolences to Gord and Family.

Condolence From: Leila Bentley
Condolence: My deepest heartfelt sympathies to Gord, Michael, David, Joan and families. My heart is broken hearing this news. The world has lost one of the very best....the best of human kind. If we all could be half the wonderful person Bonnie was there the world would be a much better place. My years I spent in Timmins in the 70's to 90's were made so much better by knowing The Spylo's. Hug those memories tight in your heart. I know I will. RIP my friend. Gone but never forgotten.

Condolence From: Paul F. Loreto
Condolence: There were two ladies on the block defined by Birch, Maple, and First Ave. whose infectious personalities were larger than life; Lucy Romain was one, and Bonnie Spylo the other.

Bonnie, as one condolence read, truly did have a smile that could melt a frozen world. Whenever I was in town for a visit, I would walk by the Spylo home on my way to wherever, simply to see if Bonnie or Gord would be in the front yard putting around their hedges so that I can visit and chat. Their interest in our family updates, were always sincere, loving and filled with humorous antidotes.
The neighborhood, has lost one of the great one's, and it will never be the same walking by the corner of Birch and First.
My condolences Gord, Michael and David. Big hugs being sent your way.

Condolence: Bonnie and I were the youngest and eldest sisters in a family with six children. Raised in “the gentle 50”s, our pleasures were simple— games of ball & jacks, skipping, skating outdoors & baseball with our brothers. We were bridesmaids in each other”s weddings. Many wonderful times were shared with our children in their lovely ,welcoming home on Birch Street, with Gord, Michael & Gordie, and David. We treasure those memories. Rest in peace beloved sister and aunt. Joan & Bob, Steve, Jason & Jennifer and families.

Condolence From: Barbara and Richard Maki
Condolence: My sincere condolences to Gordon, David, Michael and Bonnie’s extended family. Bonnie’s uncle married my aunt in the 1920’s. They had two children making my family and Bonnie’s family first cousins to them. Bonnie and I started Sunday school at the First United Church at the corner of Algonquin and Cedar across from the old fire hall.
