Obituary for Barbara Adelle Boudreau (Mason)

Boudreau, Barbara Adelle (nee Mason)
August 11th, 1941 - August 11, 2022
Our beloved angel, Barbara Adelle Boudreau of Timmins, passed away peacefully on August 11th 2022 at the age of 81 years after a brief stay in the Sudbury ICU. On this special day, her birthday, Barbara was surrounded by loved ones as her soul ascended to God's Kingdom.
Barbara was born on August 11th, 1941 to Josephine and Herbert Mason in Brantford, ON. After graduating from teacher's college in Hamilton in 1961, she travelled up to Kapuskasing where she embarked upon a 35 year career teaching classroom music for the Kapuskasing Board of Education. During this time, she also conducted many critically acclaimed choirs and taught several private piano and vocal students who later in life continued to enjoy their love of music and be inspired by Barbara's gentle and kind tutelage.
Throughout Barbara's life she was a passionate outdoorswoman and when she wasn't filling her home with warmth and love, she could be found fishing, hunting and taking long walks around Gillies Lake. Barbara is also remembered by all for her exquisite culinary skills, her giving and kind nature as she lived by the noble motto to do one kind deed a day for someone in need. She will also be remembered for her involvement with the church preparing choirs for special events, making "love meals" and spending time with her ladies prayer group. Barbara also cherished her time spent with all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren, playing, entertaining, going on outings and doing arts and crafts with them. With Barb, family and friends knew her door was always open as she would provide tender guidance and support.
In 2001, Barbara married her gentle soulmate Andy and they enjoyed 21 glorious years of marriage. Their undying love for each other was felt by all. She will be sadly missed by many and we now all have an angel watching over us.
She is survived by her husband and soulmate Andre Boudreau, her daughter and best friend Heather Beckett (Brent), her stepchildren Danielle Cauchon (Jerry), Reine Picotte (Maurice), Luc Boudreau (Leny), Lynne Del Guidice (Marc), Robin Boudreau and Alain Boudreau. Also left to mourn are her grandchildren Colin, Serge (Ashley), Eric (Erin), Stephane (Karrissa), Mario (Melanie), Patricia, Sophie (Shawn), Cody, Wyatt, Lia (Ricky), Mathieu, Gilles and her 12 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents Josephine and Herbert Mason and her brother Gerald Mason. Remembrance donations to the Community Food Bank at First Baptist Church would be greatly appreciated. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 12: 45 p.m. on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at the First Baptist Church followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m. from the First Baptist Church. In efforts to protect the public and the family, everyone will be asked to wear a mask and follow COVID Protocol.
