Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Arthur Gionet can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

The family announces with great sorrow the passing of Arthur at Health Sciences North in Sudbury on Sunday, June 12, 2022 at the age of 86 years old. Loving husband of Yvonne Gionet (nee Roy). Dear father of late Michel (1955), Late Michel (2011) (Anna), Marcel (Jo-Ann), Guy, Suzanne Pilon. Cherished grandfather of Brigitte, Gidget (Shaun), Michel Jr., Suzanne (Dan), Denis (April), Ashley, Roch, Sonia, Roch (Tyra) as well at 6 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Left to mourn are many of his brothers and sisters-in-law. Predeceased by his parents Arthur and Liza Gionet, all his siblings; Imilda, Lucille, Jeannette, Jacqueline, Andy, Roger and Guy and his mother-in-law Marie-Ange Roy.
Remembrance donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at 3:00 pm from the Miron-Wilson Funeral Chapel (Fr. Simon Drapeau officiating). The family will receive family and friends on Thursday, June 16, 2022 from 2pm to 3pm at the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins, ON.
