Whalen, Andy Roger
May 20, 1966 - March 2, 2023
The family announces with great sorrow his passing after a courageous battle with cancer at the Parkwood Hospital in London, ON., on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at the age of 56 years. Beloved son of the late Kevin Sr. (2006) and late Suzanne (2011) Whalen. Proud father of Michael Whalen, who meant the world to him. Also left to mourn are his brother Kevin Jr. Whalen (Christina) and their son Jack, and his sister Tina Whalen and her daughters Ashley and Samantha. Andy was born in Timmins in 1966 and made his way to London Ontario where he resided for numerous years. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and his favourite car was an old 1966 Ford. He was never afraid of a new adventure, he traveled the world and would always send photos of his trips to his family. Over the years he worked with his father doing construction and renovations. Andy was larger than life, his presence was always noticed, as he would just brighten up the room the moment he walked in. The family would like to thank cousin Nadine for all her help and everything she did for Andy. As per his request cremation has taken place a private family celebration of life will be held at a later date. Remembrance donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Parkwood Institute - St-Joseph's Health Care Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
