C`est avec une profonde tristesse que la famille annonce son décès, le jeudi 7 mai 2020 à l’âge de 70 ans. Époux bien-aimé de feu Rejeanne Lamothe (née Perron). Cher père de Michel (Chantal), Marc (Lilianne), Carole, et Gilbert (Claudette). Frère de Richard (Mariette), Bert (Lucille), Jean-Luc (Rachelle), Yvan (Lise) et Lucien (Louise). Grand-père adoré de Chanel, Alex, Kayla, Kyle, Noah, Jesse, Shelley et Cory. Oncle dévoué de Sylvie, Stéphanie, Chantal, Vanessa, Natalie, Gilles, Jeremy, Eric, Steve, Yves, Patrick, Jacques et Jamie, ses arrière-petits-enfants, arrière-petites-nièces et neveux, tantes, oncles, cousins, cousines et amis. Il est prédécédé par ses parents Donald & Thérèse (née Bédard) Lamothe.

Son souvenir restera gravé dans notre mémoire grâce à son cœur chaleureux, sa gentillesse, sa générosité et son sens d'humour. Alain, un homme dévoué, née à Chénéville, QC. Il a déménagé à Timmins au début de son adolescence ensuite à South Porcupine où il a élevé sa famille.

Il était machiniste dévoué pour Porcupine Machining Inc. pendant 25 ans. Il était fier de ses nombreuses années de services avec les Scouts. Et il était aussi ``un homme à tout faire``. Il aimait la nature et faire de la chasse, la pêche, le camping et surtout passer du temps avec sa famille.

Une célébration de vie aura lieu à une date ultérieure. Les dons commémoratifs à la Fondation des maladies du cœur et de l’AVC ou a la Société d’arthrite seront grandement appréciés. Les arrangements sont aux soins du SALON FUNÉRAIRE MIRON-WILSON, CENTRE DE RÉCEPTION ET D’INCINÉRATION, 150 sud, rue Balsam, Timmins.



It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Alain Lamothe, on May 7th 2020, at the age of 70 years. Beloved husband of late Rejeanne Lamothe (nee Perron), loving father of Michel (Chantal), Marc (Lilianne), Carole, & Gilbert (Claudette), proud brother of Richard (Mariette), Bert (Lucille), Jean-Luc (Rachelle), Yvan (Lise) & Lucien (Louise), adored grand-father of Chanel, Alex, Kayla, Kyle, Noah, Jesse, Shelley & Cory, caring uncle of Sylvie, Stéphanie, Chantal, Vanessa, Natalie, Gilles, Jeremy, Eric, Steve, Yves, Patrick, Jacques and Jamie. He will be sadly missed by his great-grand children, great-grand nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Alain is predeceased by his parents Donald & Thérèse (nee Bédard) Lamothe.

He will be remembered by his warm heart, kindness, generous good nature and his sense of humour. A hard working family man, who was raised in Chénéville, QC. and from early teenage years in Timmins. He later moved to South Porcupine and raised his family. He had 25 years of experience as a dedicated machinist and former employee of Porcupine Machining Inc., he had many proud years of service with The Scouts and he was a jack of all trades. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time with his family.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Donations in his honour can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Arthritis Society. The funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, Cremation and Reception Centre, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins.
